Yoga Teacher Training is a time to enrich yourself as a student and share the artistry of this magnificent practice with everyone you meet. There’s something really special about a group of individuals coming together in a similar mindset of individual transformation. We all arrive on the mat for some type of healing whether we know it or not. Even though your reason may differ from the person next to you we are all apart of something much more. This is a time to dive deeper into the yogic tradition of what brings this beautiful practice to life!

This training provides you with, structure, compassion, inspiration, dedication, clarity, proficiency, self-love and a substantial platform to learn and grow from. Teacher Training programs do require a lot from you physically, mentally, energetically, and emotionally. Proper self-care is continuously discussed and encouraged throughout the training to keep you on the up and up.

Outside of learning to teach physical asana, explore the deeper realms of yoga such as Sanskrit Chanting, Mediation, Anatomy, The Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Ayurveda, Business Ethics, Teacher-Student relationship, and much more. Learn how to skillfully build a class using thematic sequencing. Tap into the Art of Restorative and Yin practices.

I believe in my heart that you will walk away from this training feeling confident and comfortable implementing every aspect of yoga into your teachings! Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be able to register with Yoga Alliance at the 200hr level…

Students applying for this Yoga Teacher Training Course are required to have a daily yoga practice for one year or more. No previous teaching experience is required to participate.

With no expectations of who we are now as opposed to who we were then, the practice is a time to be in the present, let go of the past, and arrive in the future. As the layers shed, the light that shines within all of us begins to glow brighter. We discover that Yoga is far greater than we, have ever imagined it to be.

I was looking for a way to serve others, a way to express my gratitude. One day my teacher whispered six powerful words to me: "Yoga will change your life forever!" And it has. Being a yoga teacher has been the most fulfilling experience of my life. And it's my greatest joy to pass the gift of teaching yoga on to other students.

Program Descriptions

Asana Technique

The Primary Series of Ashtanga is the foundation to all other styles of yoga. It is a good base structure to build your vinyasa practice.  All of the poses of the Primary Series will not be physically practiced in this program.  Ashtanga Yoga by Petri Raisanen, will be a study guide throughout the course. During this intensive asana study you will learn the asanas in the series along with modifications and other variations.  Learn thematic sequencing of yoga postures as you begin to explore your creative side.  Trainees will practice a modified Ashtanga Primary Series and  other forms of yoga, which will allow you to teach both beginners and advanced yoga students.

Yoga Methodology

Principles of demonstration of the Primary Series involve observation, proper alignment, adjusting students, assisting, instructing a class from beginners to intermediate, and difference in teaching styles.  Students will tap into their intuition and learn the essence of touch when it comes to adjustments.

Yoga Philosophy

During the course of your training we will study the deeper side of yoga off the mat. Get inspired by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and introduce yourself to The Hatha Yoga Pradapika.  Learn about the Eight Limbs of Yoga and how they are interweaved into the Ashtanga practice.

Anatomy & Physiology

Discussion of the body systems, how they work, and how yoga affects them. Take look at the subtle body, explore the energetic effects of yoga and your chakras.  Learn about Ayurveda and the concept of the tri-dosha.

Breathwork and Bandhas

Discussion on the principles of pranayama technique.  Understand what is means to breath properly in your yoga practice.  Acquire a knowledge of your bandhas, location and then learn how to utilize them in asanas along with breath.

Sanskrit terms for Asanas

You often hear in yoga classes a mix of western and eastern terms in relation to yoga poses.  This can become confusing to most of us. Discover the phonetic roots of Sanskrit and understand the change in sound when you read words with different diacritical marks.  You will be able to correctly pronounce the words in Sanskrit and make sense of the meaning of the names of each asana.

Chanting and Meditation

Chanting is a way of calming the mind and body to prepare for meditation. It is a way to harmonize souls. Learn the traditional Ashtanga chants in Sanskrit with correct pronunciation and meaning as taught in Mysore, India.

Business of Yoga

Gain knowledge about the ethics of yoga, qualities of a teacher, how to promote yourself as a private practice and what it takes to develop a studio.

When I look back at my time in yoga teacher training with Jade, I sometimes find it hard to convey how transformative this experience it was for me. Before I began Jade’s teacher training, I was an avid yoga practitioner that was looking to take my personal practice a little deeper. I without a doubt, got what I wanted, but also so much more.
Jade is an ashtanga yogini that truly lives The Eight Limbs of Yoga. It was something she asked us to do during our training, and thought I admit I did so begrudgingly at first, it really made the training all that more powerful. After I completed my training and my life had settled back into a routine, I began to notice that I had cultivated all these new habits too. I now have a daily meditation practice which I did not have before. This has helped me with mental clarity and an overall calmness I enjoy immensely. I have kept up the habit of studying yoga anatomy and yoga literature on a regular basis. My asana practice has grown stronger thanks to Jade’s requirement of regular practice during training. And I have also had some amazing breakthroughs because I understand my body on a much deeper level anatomically than ever before.
I love the saying, “There is no free lunch here, you have to be willing to do the work that gets the results.” And I think that analogy applies here too. Jade gave me all the tools, resources, knowledge and confidence I could ever need to begin my journey in becoming the best teacher I want to be; wherever that desire may take me. Kimberly
